Hospitality, in Bramberg

Samplhaus - Bramberg

Here you will find Austria at its best. A majestic Mountain world with central Europe’s largest national park in front of you: the Hohe Tauern, combined with 3 modern ski areas, friendly and helpful inhabitants and a living culture. Bramberg am Wildkogel (852m), the village of emeralds, is an authentic and friendly village in the Ober-Pinzgau region of the province of Salzburg. Pinzgau is a region with a rich tradition. You will find beautiful old Altholz-farms with flowers on the balconies. In summer time the cows are on the meadows high in the mountains. Pinzgau has its own dialect and locals are proud to be a Pinzgau. This tradition is reflected in the typical local dishes.

On the other side of the mountains is Italy. In ancient times traders from Venice crossed the mountains with salt and other trade over the mountain passroads, which you can find a lot of in this region. The highest mountain in the Bramberg region is the Grossvenediger (3,674m high). You can climb this mountain in summer, of course led by a mountain guide.

For medical help, you can find everything in Bramberg, doctors, dentists, fysiotherapists and a drug store. The hospital is in Mittersill, about 15 minutes by car. 2 supermarkets: The Spar in the centre and the Mpreis in the east side. The local backery Taxenbacher near the church and restaurants and (lounge) bars. You can also find a couple of sport shops, etc. The 14 km long sledging slope is unique, the longest in the world! From the Wildkogel the track is 1200 meters going downwards. An amazing experience. Fun!
